About the Practice
Portlaw Projects is an Irish consultancy combining business strategy, technology delivery, and market intelligence into a single integrated practice. We work with organisations at decision points — and stay engaged until outcomes are real.
Most consultancies sell strategy and step away at the slide deck. We do not. Every engagement is led by the same senior people throughout — no junior hand-offs after the first meeting, no templated outputs, no opinion borrowed from someone else's case studies.
Our work is direct, evidence-based, and grounded in the real conditions facing organisations today. We work in those conditions, not the boardroom version of them.
We are intentionally small. That's not a limitation — it's the operating choice that makes the rest of this possible.
Principle One
Every engagement is led by the same people you spoke to at the start. No hand-offs to a junior team after the proposal lands. The people who scope the work are the people who do it.
Principle Two
We understand the market, the networks, and the real conditions facing Irish businesses right now. That includes the funding mechanisms, the talent pools, the regulatory environment, and the international relationships that matter.
Principle Three
Strategy and software live in the same practice — which means your roadmap, your operations, and your tools can be designed to actually align. Most consultancies recommend technology they don't have to build; we do not.
Principle Four
We work with a small number of clients at any time. That's how we stay useful and stay sharp. If we're not the right fit we'll say so directly, and usually point you toward someone who is.
Based in Portlaw, Co. Waterford — a small village in the south-east of Ireland, between Tramore Bay and the Comeragh Mountains. We work with clients in Dublin, Cork, Galway, the UK, and further afield, both remotely and in person.
